02 / About
About the project.
Ádám Tulassay’s staging of Verdi’s Requiem turns the monumental mass into a dark, physical journey through fear, judgement and mortality. Instead of treating the work as a concert piece, the production builds a world around it: a rigid, oppressive city that gradually breaks apart as the music moves deeper into the inner landscape of its characters.
We designed the projected visuals as part of the architecture itself. Working directly with Angéla Csúcs’s monumental set, animation transforms solid structures into shifting cityscapes, fractured spaces and increasingly abstract visions. The stage never simply changes location. It mutates with the emotional pressure of the music.
As the boundaries between physical scenery, light and moving image begin to dissolve, the production leaves behind its concrete urban reality and enters something far more psychological. The result is a visual system that grows out of the set, moves with Verdi’s score, and turns a static architectural world into something unstable, alive and constantly transforming.
